GWA was just approved by the State for AFTER SCHOOL Care! Starting with the 2012-2013 school year, 4 year-olds through 6th graders will be able to stay at GWA until 6 p.m.

Emily Myers Named Walton County STAR Student
For the fifth year in a row, a GWA student represented Walton County at the District STAR banquet. George Walton Academy senior Emily Myers was named the countywide STAR Student at last week’s Walton County Chamber of Commerce banquet. Emily selected Social Studies teacher Karen Barrett as the 2012 STAR Teacher.
George Walton Academy first, third and fifth grade students took the ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) in November.
Results are in and continue to be impressive. George Walton students performed well in all areas tested.
