Model U.N.

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations. Model UN is almost as old as the United Nations.

Students are assigned a country to represent. They then create policy proposals to address current international issues that the United Nations is actually addressing. Those proposals, referred to as resolutions, are then debated. Students, referred to as delegates, debate the issues from the point of view of the country they are assigned to represent not their personal opinions.
