Together We Help GWA Succeed
ANNUAL LOYALTY FUND
An unrestricted gift to the Annual Loyalty Fund (ALF) is the first and most important gift a supporter makes to GWA each year. The school receives annually more than 500 gifts from parents, grandparents, staff, alumni and friends. The ALF is an essential source of income beyond tuition, accounting for 7% of the operating budget. The ALF goal for 2024-25 is $900,000, which helps bridge the gap between tuition and the cost to educate a student. The ALF supports operating expenses such as teachers’ and coaches' salaries and benefits, student laptops, athletic field maintenance, curriculum and classroom materials, and much more.
Every ALF gift makes a difference, no matter its size.
Every student matters. Every teacher matters. Every gift matters.
CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS- ADVERTISING YOUR BUSINESS
Included as part of the ALF, corporate partnerships are a great way to engage members of our business community to promote their products and services as well as GWA. Corporate partners enjoy advertising benefits online and on campus, in select GWA publications, and through sponsorship of the school’s signature fundraising events.
2025 LUCKY DAWG GALA & BENEFIT AUCTION- MARCH 8, 2025
Supporting both the ALF and restricted “Fund-a-need” gifts to “Elevate the Campus”, the Lucky Dawg Gala occurs every March. It’s a fun night of food, entertainment and good-natured competition – all to advance GWA. The evening includes a welcome reception, dinner, music and dancing, as well as silent and live auction bidding. Tickets are available for individual purchase, or supporters can sponsor a table. Tickets for the event will go on sale in January 2025.
THE CHAMPIONS CLUB/BULLDOG FUND
New this year, The Champions Club is GWA's Athletic Booster Club, representing a dynamic, parent-led organization dedicated to nurturing student-athletes. Operating in close collaboration with the GWA Athletic Leadership and Development Office, the Champions Club embodies the spirit of our school, fostering community engagement and philanthropic support for our athletic programs. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, the club upholds our tradition of competitive interscholastic athletics, ensuring the continued success of our student-athletes and coaching staff. Membership includes free admission into all home athletic events (excluding playoff events) and is available each year.
The Bulldog Fund was created in 2022. It is a fundraising effort aimed to provide and elevate the excellence across all of George Walton Academy’s athletic programs. Gifts made to the Bulldog Fund have a direct impact on our students and programs to provide the support needed to allow our athletic programs to compete at the highest level.

Dear George Walton Academy Family,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Director of Development at George Walton Academy. My name is Britton Ryan, and it is an honor to join this wonderful community. As someone who is deeply passionate about education and the power of philanthropy, I am truly excited to be a part of the GWA family.
First and foremost, I want to extend my gratitude to our wonderful donors, families, grandparents, alumni, and friends. Your generous support year after year is the cornerstone of our success and growth. Giving at GWA is a long-standing tradition, and it is through your unwavering commitment and generosity that we continue to uphold our mission of excellence for our students.
The passion and dedication that our families share for our school are truly awe-inspiring. Your contributions ensure that our students receive the best education possible, empowering them to reach their full potential and make a positive impact on the world. Together, we are creating an environment where every student can thrive in each and every way.
As I step into this role, I am eager to build upon the strong foundation laid by those before me and to work collaboratively with each of you to further our mission. It will be a challenge upholding the long standing legacy of Mrs. Jeanie Beach, who dedicated so much of her life to George Walton Academy as a student, alumni, parent and staff member. We wish Mrs. Beach the best during her well deserved retirement.
Thank you once again for your incredible support and dedication to our school. I look forward to meeting many of you in person and to working together to advance the mission of George Walton Academy.
Warm regards,
Britton Ryan
