Head Coach
Katherine Meeks
Coach Meeks is from Watkinsville, GA and has been involved in softball in some capacity since the age of three. She received her BBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia (’09) and MAT in Social Studies Education from Piedmont College (’12). Coach Meeks began her softball coaching career as a lay coach at Malcom Bridge Middle School in Oconee County in 2008, where she worked with the Lady Lighting for three seasons. Coach Meeks has been coaching the Lady Dawgs since 2014. She and her husband Chris currently live in Lawrenceville with their two dogs, Cooper and Fenway.
Assistant Coach
Todd Shelnutt
Coach Shelnutt is a lifelong resident of Walton County. After graduating from Loganville High school in 1987, Todd went on to play football at the University of West Georgia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from West Georgia and a Master's degree in Sports Management; Sports Administration from Liberty University. Todd joined GWA in 1994 as an assistant football coach. In 1997, he became the assistant baseball coach. Then, in 2000, he took over the baseball program as the Varsity baseball head coach.
