Kitchen Manager

George Walton Academy seeks a Kitchen Manager to oversee the school's food services operation. Five years of kitchen management & food service experience is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement and ensure compliance of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for safe and efficient food services operation.

  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to quality, health, and safety standards.

  • Provide the orientation of kitchen rules, policies, and procedures and oversee training of kitchen employees.

  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection.

  • Prepare and submit all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.

  • Control food cost and usage through proper product storage, preparation, and waste control procedures.

  • Fully understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and municipal laws, regulations, and rules including those that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements for food service staff.
