A Culinary Experience Built Around Students

GWA is thrilled to announce the return of Food Service Director Will Angel! Chef Will successfully ran our campus dining services prior to the pandemic and is returning to lead our Campus Food Service Operations.

What’s Cooking?

Chef Will and his talented team are dedicated to elevating the daily dining experience for our students and staff with a focus on:

• Fresh, House-Made items Daily: A renewed emphasis on nutritious options and a significant reduction in pre-packaged items.
• More Variety: A wider selection of daily meals alongside beloved, classic favorites.
• Community Catering: Expanded, independent catering capabilities for all types of on and off campus events.
• Concessions Oversight: Streamlined management of school concessions (please note: parent volunteers will still be vital for sporting events!).

🍳 Daily Hot Breakfast - $4

Students can start their day with a hearty Daily Hot Breakfast for just $4. The breakfast includes a choice of three of five hot items:

• Sausage
• Grits
• Eggs
• Hash Browns
• Biscuits

Additional breakfast items will be available à la carte, with pricing clearly displayed. Special offerings such as the Omelet Bar, Waffle Bar and Smoothie Bar will also be available at designated times, with pricing clearly posted.

🍽️ Daily Hot Lunch - A Favorite for Every Grade

A Daily Hot Lunch will be available for purchase by students in all grades. Each meal features a fan-favorite entrée, a choice of two to three sides, dessert and a 10-ounce beverage. The necessary accompaniments and condiments will be prepared in-house to complement each meal and will be available for students in all grade levels to enjoy.

Alongside the Daily Hot Lunch, a Health-Conscious Corner will offer an alternative for students looking for something different, with fresh and nutritious choices designed to provide variety and flexibility.

Lower School (K3-5th Grade)

The Daily Hot Lunch for Lower School students is $7 and includes:

• Daily hot entrée
• Choice of 2–3 sides
• Dessert
• 10-ounce beverage

Middle & Upper School (6th-12th Grade)

The Daily Hot or Cold Lunch for Middle and Upper School students is $8 and includes:

• Daily hot or cold entrée
• Choice of 2–3 sides
• Dessert
• 10-ounce beverage

🥪 Expanded Choices for Grades 6-12

Students in grades 6–12 will have even more flexibility with a variety of fresh, convenient options available from the culinary service's refrigerated coolers. Daily selections may include:

• Pre-made sandwiches
• Fresh salads
• Crudités
• Parfaits
• Cheese and cracker boxes
• Fresh-cut fruit

The Hot Grab & Go selections and Hot Bar/Action Station will provide additional variety, with options changing regularly.

🥗 Full Salad & Deli Bar

The Full Salad and Deli Bar is also back, offering students the opportunity to create a meal that fits their preferences.

Students can choose from a variety of fresh ingredients, including artisanal breads, and make their own sandwiches at the sandwich-making station, complete with a panini press available for use with appropriate guidance and supervision.

The deli and salad options also allow students to mix and match selections, such as:

• Small soup + small salad
• Half sandwich + small salad

The culinary program will also feature two made-from-scratch soups each day, adding even more variety to the lunch menu.

🥤 Beverage Station - $2

The beverage station will be available for $2 per meal period. The beverage station is available during either breakfast or lunch and cannot be used for both meal periods.

Students must use authorized cups, and cups must be disposed of at the end of the meal period. Unauthorized bottles may not be filled at the beverage station.

Cafeteria charges will be run through FACTS incidental billing in real-time. Purchases will automatically be charged to the incidental billing portion of the students’ FACTS account as they are purchased. Payment for cafeteria charges will also be made through FACTS.

Menus and Availability 

Lunch is available for purchase by all students. Daily lunch menus will be available online. There will be many a la carte offerings available daily. Cold pre-packaged grab-and-go items may include a selection of deli sandwiches and wraps, freshly prepared salads, yogurt parfaits, fresh cut fruit, hummus with mixed vegetable crudité, and cheese and cracker boxes. These additional offerings are available to students 6th-12th.
