Taekwondo
Students of all ages are invited to join Mr. Benji Lalaian, a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, to learn one of the most popular martial arts in the world! Learn how to kick, punch, strike, and block among many other things that will help you improve your ability to defend yourself! You’ll learn how to improve your endurance, flexibility, focus, and respect level all while getting an excellent work out! The classes will include many different exercises, games, situational defense lessons, and an opportunity for a belt promotion at the end of each semester! Mr. Benji can’t wait to see you in class!
You may choose to attend on:
-Wednesday 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
or Thursday, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
-Ages 5 and up are welcome.
Cost:
$70 per class or $140 for both days. Payment for classes will be due on or before the 15th of each month.
New students joining for the first time will need a white uniform with a white belt. A uniform is not required for the first class. You will be sized and then you can order the uniform through Amazon.
Please note: Your child will come to the Aftercare program at 3:00 p.m. right after school, change and receive a snack before the instructor comes to pick up students for class. You will pick your child up at 4:30 p.m. in front of the school. If you are unable to get there at 4:30 p.m. your child will be able to go back to aftercare and stay until you can get there. Aftercare is over at 6 p.m. and children must be picked up no later than 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., late fees apply.
Dance and Performance Classes
We have several options for dance and performance this year.
Ballet/ Jazz Combo Class for K- 1st graders (ages 5-7)
When: Mondays from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Where: Lower school gym stage
Dress: leotard and tights or leggings (any color), ballet skirt (optional) and ballet slippers
*Hair secured off the face .
Hip Hop/Jazz class for 2nd- 5th graders (ages 8-11)
When: Tuesdays from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Where: Lower school gym stage
-Dress: athletic shorts, jazz pants or leggings with fitted T-shirt or halter/ tank top (any color) and sneakers
-Hair secured back from the face .
Musical Theatre/Theatre Arts for 2nd-5th graders (ages 8-11)
When: Wednesdays from 3:05 - 4:05 p.m.
Dress: Students may wear anything that they can comfortably move in. School uniforms are fine!
All students will have the opportunity to perform in the Christmas showcase ( details TBA). Costume requirements for the show will be emailed to the parents for purchase. We try and keep the cost minimal!
All Dance classes are $70/month.
-Classes will begin after Labor Day.
-Your child will dress at school for class, go to aftercare for a quick snack and then the instructor will pick them up. Pick up will be in front of the school. If you are unable to get there when class is over, they will go to Aftercare until you get there. Aftercare is available until 6:00 p.m.
