George Walton Academy has a competitive and highly successful interscholastic athletic program. The emphasis of our interscholastic sports program is participation, good sportsmanship and competitiveness.

GWA is a member of  the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), Region 8, Class A.  This new classification began with the 2010-2011 school year.

Through the years George Walton Academy athletes have earned numerous Region and State Championships. As a small school, GWA provides an opportunity for many students to participate in team and individual sports.  More than 50% of our high school students participate in interscholastic sports.
