Community Service

Paws for a Cause

As part of "Paws for a Cause," members of the Class of 2018 served Great Oaks, the Walton County Senior Citizens facility, and two F.I.S.H. locations. They played games, shared conversation, prepared meals, sorted clothing and stocked shelves. One group remained on campus to assist with the Red Cross Blood Drive- some donating blood. Thanks to everyone who helped make this Paws for a Cause service day a success. It was a day well spent!

Paws for Presents

Doing good in the neighborhood! GWA recently partnered with our local Boys and Girls Club to sponsor “Paws for Presents.” Students had a blast helping their new friends from the Boys and Girls Club of Monroe shop for Christmas presents. Their smiles say it all!

Empty Stocking Fund

We are smiling because the barrels are FULL! Thank you for the incredible donations of canned food and for helping our neighbors in need. George Walton Academy is Walton County's largest donor to the Empty Stocking Fund and we appreciate the generous support of our families and employees to this worthy cause.

Sharing the Spirit

Third graders couldn't wait to spread some Christmas cheer as part of their month of giving by delivering thank you cards, goodies and lots of hugs to staff members on campus including custodians, school nurses, cafeteria and administrative staff.
