The Writing Center

George Walton Academy’s Writing Center offers writing support to students on a wide variety of writing projects. Writing is a critical component of learning at GWA as students learn to express themselves intentionally. All students are welcome to collaborate on their writing, expand their ideas, and revise their work at any point during their writing process for any writing: assigned writing for GWA courses, college essays, resumes, personal writing, etc.

Middle and high school students may stop by to schedule an appointment to meet with a consultant or use our posted link on this page. Each appointment will take approximately 25 minutes, but students are encouraged to make multiple meetings throughout their writing process. Appointments are typically available between 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, except 3rd block or other occasional exceptions.

If needed, students also use Zoom to meet for writing consultations and should make a note that a Zoom meeting is requested when scheduling the appointment.
